SCINE's urban farming initiatives lauded by Programme Partner

"This last year, we partnered with SCINE to create 4 school gardens benefiting 1,390 students, conduct urban gardening training for 25 participants, create a community demonstration garden, distribute seedlings for 80 families to have home gardens, and facilitated a farm visit to Kampala Capital City Authority's urban farm.

These programs all aimed to teach students and community members about urban gardening, empower community members to create urban gardens, improve their food security and nutrition, and provide enriching hands-on learning activities about agriculture and urban farming.

SCINE has been a pleasure to partner with and we are currently partnering to create additional urban school gardens with money raised during the Poetry for School Gardens event held in September. Thank you to everyone that has supported this program! Stay tuned for additional updates!
