Community Youth Parliament held in Kibuye Parish Makindye Division

Sustainable Community Initiative for Empowerment - SCINE in partnership with #NAC conducted a Community Youth Parliament. Members discussed issues of poor sanitation, sewage and poor drainage system in their communities.

Community youth parliaments( CYP) are engagements of young people by young people in their communities to discuss or represent views of young people in the area to duty bearers. SCINE in partnership with Network for Active Citizens Uganda organised a CYP in Kibuye 1 parish (Katwe) Makindye division where young people met with their local leaders and discussed issues affecting them within their community. Issues discussed included climate issues such floods, poor drainage, sanitation among others.

CYP's enables young people to feel relevant through creating a difference in their respective communities.
