SCINE equips young people with knowledge and awareness on climate smart urban farming
As a means of strengthening the capacity to practice climate smart agriculture and implement solutions to adapt to climate change, SCINE in partnership with Seed Programs International facilitated 25 young people from Makindye Division to KCCA urban farm in Kyanja to learn about urban farming while utilizing the smallest available space, types of vegetables that favor Kampala weather and how to take care of the vegetables.
This helped to increase knowledge and awareness on climate smart urban farming but as well it was an inspiration to start green business initiatives that can thrive in the urban setting.
